The Curly Haired Girl Buys A Sedu

If you’re a curly haired girl like me, you are probably always looking for a product to straighten your hair and allow you to achieve stick-straight hair like that of Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez (J Lo). Well, there are now products available that allow you to do that and with awesome results. Hair straighteners (a.k.a. flat irons) have been around for a while now, but now there’s a new breed that use cutting edge technology allowing you to tame your frizzy hair and give it a smooth and silky style in a fraction of the time. These commercially available products are the same ones used by salons and yes, even Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez.

This new breed of hair straighteners use true ceramic/Tourmaline plates which generate six times more negative ions (a good thing) than regular ceramic flat irons. The end result is more natural looking straight hair in a fraction of the time. After using one of these products, I must say that I am very impressed with the results.

I purchased a Sedu Ionic 1.5 Inch Flat Iron and gave it a test run. The first thing I noticed was how fast it heated up. About 25 seconds which is much faster than my old flat iron. I also noticed how much easier the ceramic/Tourmaline plates slid down my hair. The product materials say that the Sedu produces 3 times smoother and silkier hair than using an ordinary ceramic iron. I don’t know if my hair was 3 times smoother, but it definitely looked a lot better than with my old hair straightener.

The Sedu also allowed me to adjust the temperature of the iron, which was beneficial for my thick, course hair. This enabled me to straighten my hair much faster than I was used to with my old iron. I would say that I easily cut the time by a third to a half of what it used to take.

The Sedu is also much smaller and easier to use then I am used to. This made for a more pleasant experience and did not make my hand get tired. The power cord on the Sedu is designed to swivel so I don’t have to worry about the cord getting twisted up and tangled over time.

All in all I am very impressed by the experience I had with the Sedu. I paid $125 for mine and that included free shipping. There are other brands that use the tourmaline plates which range from the high 80’s all the way up to $200 and beyond. For the price, I am happy with the results I got with the Sedu. I think you will be too.

Body Hair Removal: Solutions For Today

As we as a race become increasingly conscious of the way others look at us and not just the way, we look at ourselves, personal grooming has never been more important. And top of the list for many men and women today is to gain a superior attractive quality by getting rid of unwanted body hair. Be it facial hair removal for women, or back hair removal for men, quick hair removal treatments have fast gained in popularity with the masses. As your search continues for the treatment best suited for you, we have tried to put together a concise set of hair removal solutions available in the market today for your benefit.

The commonest form of quick hair removal today is shaving, which as the name suggests is the simple application of a razor blade, either manually or electrically on the skin surface to remove the hair by cutting the hair stem. While it’s a quick painless hair removal method which is effective, it lasts only for very short bursts of time and can never be termed a permanent hair removal solution. Still for people short on time and low on cash, shaving still promises to be an affordable practical solution. For the slightly advanced enthusiast, depilatory creams are a good bet to do facial hair removal and leg hair removal. These creams effect quick hair removal through surface chemical reactions with the protein in your hair, breaking it down and making it easy to come off. Available in a variety of forms such as gels and aerosols and typically calcium-compound based, this treatment offers a solution which however is not a permanent hair removal method.

Of course, if you are a girl, you have probably gone through the painful procedure of waxing for body hair removal especially for hands and legs hair removal. Tweezing like waxing works by plucking the hair out of the skin right from its root s, thereby giving a hairless skin which can last for several weeks until the roots of the hair grow back. Electrolysis for hair removal on the other hand works on the principle of destabilizing the hair roots through surface electrical currents charged through electrodes implanted in the skin. While the effect of electrolysis hair removal is long standing in nature, frequent sessions and a serious dent on your bank balance are realistic possibilities that you need to keep in mind.

The best hair removal method available today is laser hair removal for men and women alike. This treatment is swift, precise, painless hair removal technique which normally guarantees an extended period of freedom from unwanted hair. In just a few sessions, whether it is facial hair removal or back hair removal, the laser technology effectively answers all your needs and desires for looking your personal best!

Visit your local salon or contact your beautician for understanding which of these hair removal treatments would work best for you. All the best to looking good and feeling great!!

Hair Removal Solutions: Laser Hair Removal And Others

Fear no longer the ignominy of unwanted body hair. If you have been willing to walk should somebody show you the way, you have come to the right place for hair removal solutions. Here we present some of the popular hair removal solutions like laser hair removal among others which can offer you the flight of fantasy that you have been seeking for so long to become truly beautiful.

Laser hair removal: The latest technology in the long list of hair removal solutions, laser hair removal offers a easy to use, extremely effective method to get rid of unwanted body hair and is long lasting in its effect. Men and Women alike have benefited from this superb technology which promises unwanted hair removal from virtually any part of the human body. The principle of hair removal by laser is based on the fact that thermal agitation of the hair follicle and bulb under the skin causes the bulb to destabilize, break down and forego the capability of regeneration. Thus laser hair removal is precise and effective in hair removal.

Shaving: The most common and the oldest hair removal solution in the market today and world different from laser hair removal. Shaving is a self administered hair removal solution in daily use by both men and women for getting rid of body hair. The equipment required is low-tech : a shaving razor, brush and cream is all that you need. However the application is limited to only areas on your body that you can see and reach and is not definitely applicable for the tender areas on the human body. This is not a permanent hair removal solution as well.

Tweezing: Otherwise called plucking, this method involves using a pair of tweezers to pull the hair out of the skin to ensure hair removal. This method is particularly painful and suffers from the same drawbacks of shaving in terms of permanence of effect and areas of applicability. It is hard to imagine that laser hair removal and tweezing essentially are solutions to virtually the same problem.

Electrolysis: Before the onset of laser hair removal, electrolysis was widely touted as a very effective method for hair removal. It’s different from hair removal by laser in the sense that, instead of a laser beam destabilizing the hair root, it’s an electric current that does the same job. This treatment also needs to be administered for a longer period of time as compared to laser hair removal and is definitely not for the faint hearted.

In our opinion amongst all the options of hair removal available in the market today, laser hair removal seems to be the most promising. Its just a matter of time before the technology becomes so prevalent that even for the unfortunate few for whom cost is a hurdle, it will be within reach of their financial boundaries!

How Modern Hair Restoration Can Be Successful

Before seeking the services of a hair replacement center, it is important to understand some basic information about hair loss and what can do about it.

Hair Loss Background

Approximately 95% of the estimated 60 million men and women in the United States who experience abnormal hair loss suffer from a hereditary condition called androgentic alopecia. This is the gradual loss of hair that usually begins somewhere between 30 to 40 years of age in men and is essentially a cosmetic disorder, which is relevant because most health insurance plans will not pay for cosmetic care. In women, the onset of hereditary hair loss usually does not occur until after menopause.

The incidence of androgentic alopecia is highest in white males but can also be found women, Asians, and African Americans. Usually, the thinning hair begins in the frontal area and progresses back over the head. In general, the growth transition begins with large, thick healthy hair, then progresses to thinner, shorter, indeterminate hairs, and finally, short, nonpigmented vellus hairs cover the area sporadically. During this transition, the patient may notice more shedding than normal. Some shedding is natural, as up to 10% of a person’s hair so prone to shedding at any given time. Lab studies can be done to determine whether the hair loss is genetic or caused by other sources.

What can be done about it?

Once the cause of thinning hair is determined, a hair replacement center can offer several viable solutions for hair restoration . If the cause is not genetic, changes in medication, diet, or hairstyle products may take care of the problem without any significant out-of-pocket cost to the patient. In the event the patient is loosing hair due to genetic reasons or the changes mentioned above do not create a regrowth of hair, other options are still available. - Surgery offers a couple of solutions. One is a scalp reduction. This is where a portion of the bald scalp is removed, and then the skin is stretch to cover the area of the scalp where the skin was removed. The other option is probably the most commonly considered option. Hair follicles can be transplanted from a donor or from thickly haired sections of the head. The main problem with hair plugs is covering the bald area with enough plugs to provide satisfactory results. - The last option is hair weaving. Hairpieces are weaved into the patient’s natural hair to create a prosthetic method of covering the baldness. While the hairpieces of the past were often horrendous failures, many of the modern prosthetics are indistinguishable from the patient’s own hair.

Conclusion for modern hair restoration technologies

Now that you have a general idea what to expect from a hair replacement center, you can more effectively prepare a list of questions for the doctor. You can also go prepared to ask questions about your family history, medical history, current medications, diet, and general hair care regime.

While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it is also an integral part of self-image. As such, concern over hair loss is a normal reaction and should not be taken lightly.

Sleek Hair Sedu Style

We’ve come a long way since our mothers straightened our hair with an iron and ironing board, and it has never been more evident than now. The Sedu hair straightener has revolutionized the way we straighten our hair and has proved that hair Sedu style is hair to be truly envious of.

Hair Sedu style is identified by sleek, straight, shiny and conditioned tresses, the likes of which can only be obtained by using the Sedu ceramic flat iron. This flat iron infuses hair with moisture during every step of the straightening process to ensure that hair Sedu style remains healthy, shiny, strong and vibrant.

The secret of hair Sedu style lies with ionic technology and the materials used to create the Sedu hair straightener. Hair Sedu style is achieved thanks to the high concentration of negative ions, which work to infuse moisture and shine into the inner layers of your hair.

The smooth ceramic plates of the Sedu ceramic flat iron also work like no other ordinary straightening iron to give you hair that is truly Sedu style. Ceramic tile, made from clay and hardened by fire, is a naturally moist and smooth material. When heated, it actually infuses its moisture into any absorbent material that it comes into contact with such as your hair. The results are luxurious, shiny tresses that can only be credited to the Sedu hair straightener.

Not only is hair Sedu style a step above styles created with ordinary flat irons, hair Sedu style also boasts of tresses that are up to three times smoother and silkier than those that can be achieved with other ceramic flat irons. Additionally, the Sedu hair straightener uses ultra-smooth plates which guarantees smooth straightening motions that will not pull or break your hair. This all results in truly healthy and silky hair Sedu style.

Sedu styled hair is also a breeze to achieve and maintain. The Sedu flat iron cuts straightening time in half and heats up to the desired temperature in less than 25 seconds. This means that not only will your hair style be gorgeous, it will also take you a fraction of the time to go from frizz to sleek than it does when using conventional flat irons.

And the consistent heat held by the ceramic plates of the Sedu flat iron means that your hair will be shiny and frizz free throughout. From the roots of your hair to the tips of your tresses, your hair will be beautiful when you achieve hair Sedu style.

Sedu styling is also great for every type of hair imaginable. From fine, limp and damaged hair to coarse, thick ethnic hair, the Sedu hair straightener can be adjusted to suit your particular needs. This is possible because of the flat iron’s adjustable thermostat, which allows you to choose a heat setting that is perfect for you to achieve hair Sedu style.

As you can see, there are many beautiful benefits associated with the Sedu styling. What are you waiting for? Why not see what the Sedu hair staightener can do for your look today.

How to Remove Hair Dye

Most women who choose to color their hair, do it at home. It’s not that difficult, and you get it done just the way you want. Unfortunately, you often do a little more than you want, and are left wondering how to remove hair dye from a variety of surfaces, including you!

The first tip, is that when dying your hair, apply a border of Vaseline around the edge of your scalp. Make it an area perhaps an inch wide or more. Yes, it feels a little greasy, but it will save you the work of trying to scrub off dye stains at the base of your neck where you can’t even see what you’re doing.

If you do have hair dye stains, there are commercial removers to be bought at hair salons (after all, they make mistakes too), but you can get the same results with your toothpaste. The make up of toothpaste means that it contains just enough abrasive to help remove the dye from your skin, without irritating it. Rub it in with your gloved fingers, or use an old toothbrush.

When the dye falls on clothing, get it off and into cold water, immediately. Soak until the stain is all or mostly removed. Wring out and place on a firm surface, then use an old toothbrush to work a dishwashing detergent into the stain. Rinse and launder as usual but air dry in case the stain is not completely gone. If there is some mark left, soaking it overnight in one of the OxyClean products may help.

5 Steps To Perfect Hair

Your hair is your crowning glory. Look after it and it will shine for all the world to see. You don’t always need expensive treatments, or visits to a hair salon to manage your hair professionally. There’s so much you can do yourself.

  1. For shiny, healthy hair think first of your body’s intake. Your hair is really just a reflection of what you are inside. A good balanced, nutritious and healthy diet will do more to make your hair shine than any shampoo or conditioner. And drink eight to ten glasses of water a day too; hair is 25% water, so don’t let yours go thirsty!
  2. Dry your hair after washing in the ambient temperature of your room after using an absorbent towel to soak up the excess moisture, but don’t rub hard. If possible, don’t use blow-drying, flat irons, curling irons or hot rollers. Artificial heating will leave your hair brittle and damaged in time. Be natural whenever you can.
  3. Prevent unnecessary hair damage by using the right kind of hairbrush. Only comb wet hair with a wide-tooth comb, combing from end to root, but avoiding touching the root. Detangling wet hair with a hard steel comb can create a lot of damage, so don’t!
  4. Remove trichoptlosis, or split ends, like this: take small sections of your hair and carefully twist them in a gentle downward motion. The split ends will stick out. Using sharp scissors, carefully cut into the twisted section, but not right through, to remove the damaged cuticles and leave a natural layered look. Cut roughly the same amount from each twist to balance the effect.
  5. Hair loss can be slowed, or even reversed by applying a few simple tips, though they probably won’t cure an underlying condition. Biotin can help to regenerate hair follicles: blend bananas with honey, yoghurt and low-fat milk, and drink it daily. Supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc and saw palmetto will help too, but eliminating stress and getting plenty of sleep may work just as well.

We are all obsessed with our hair, whether we are 9 or 90, male or female. Look after yourself first and foremost and your hair will reflect that care and attention. The Biblical Samson’s strength lay in his fine flowing hair. Your hair reflects your strength too.

Gorgeous Hairstyles For All Hair Types

Just about every woman knows how to fix simple hairstyles like a bun, a braid or a ponytail.

If you can manage these simple (but usually pretty boring) hairstyles, then with a few twists on these well known hairstyles, you can have a gorgeous hairstyle that will turn heads.

A CUTE FLIP-THROUGH FOR ALL OCCASIONS

For the first hairstyle I’ll teach you, you start with an ordinary ponytail. I love this hairstyle, which is a really cute ponytail that is extremely easy to make. Make sure the ponytail you make is a high one. Loosen the ponytail just slightly so that it hangs a little lower.

Now, using your fingers, part your hair in the center, starting from your crown and ending at the nape of your neck. You should be sure to divide the hair underneath the ponytail as well as above it.

Then push your thumbs up from the nape of your neck through the part you’ve created in your hair. Hang your head upside down for a second, flipping your ponytail over. Hook your thumbs around the base of your ponytail and push it upwards to the nape of your neck.

Once a good sized loop of hair is pushed through, grab it with your hand and pull it all the way through. Now turn your head right side up again and carefully comb your hair together just above the ponytail to make a neat finish.

A GORGEOUS TUCK FOR SPECIAL DATES AND OCCASIONS

This next beautiful hairstyle starts the same way as the flip through I just taught you… with a high ponytail. First you make a part down the middle of your head (like you did for the flip through) only you end AT the ponytail, leaving a good layer of hair under the ponytail untouched.

Then you pull the sections of hair apart above the ponytail creating a “pocket.” Fold the entire ponytail up and gently tuck it down into the pocket, distributing the hair as even as possible.

Push the elastic ponytail band down into the pocket as well, so that it is hidden from view. If you find this to be hard loosen the ponytail a little more.

Now, just comb your hair carefully over the part you made earlier. Try using a bobby pin or barrette to pull your hair together just above the pocket. If your plastic band tends to show, a barrette will also help to hide it.

A SEXY HAIRSTYLE YOU CAN WEAR WHILE MOUNTAIN BIKING

Yet another of my favorite hairstyles is one that is a variation on the braid, and is rightfully called “the rope.” To make this hairstyle you start with a ponytail that you’ve divided into 3 even sections.

Twist the right most section of hair to the right, and cross it over both of the other sections. Repeat this, always twisting the farthest right section to the right and crossing it over the other two sections until your “rope” is the length you desire.

Then secure your hairstyle with a scrunchie or elastic ponytail band once you’ve finished.

Master these hairstyles and you’ll never be stuck wondering what “do” you should wear today. But better yet, you won’t be stuck with the same drab hairdo everyday.

Hair Style Magazines? Dont Waste Money, These Are The Best

It’s no secret that there is a lot of misleading beauty advice out there. So, where should you turn for the latest styles, trends and advice? A good place to start is with a leading, reputable hair style magazine or black hair magazine.

When you choose one of the leading hair style magazines or black hair magazines over other publications, you gain access to the latest trends and insider secrets in the beauty industry. No longer will you have to wait until a trend becomes popular and dozens of people are wearing it before you catch on. By subscribing to a hair style magazine, you can keep your eye on the upcoming styles and get them before anyone else.

So, which style magazine should you buy? Here are reviews of five of the leading hair style magazines to aid you in your decision (and details of how you can get them at discounted prices):

  • American Salon. American Salon is the leading hair style magazine among professionals. Inside the pages of this magazine are insider trade secrets, trends and techniques that have just been introduced by top-of-the-line beauty professionals. Here you can learn about the latest innovative products and beauty treatments, the newest cutting and color trends, and other tidbits of knowledge at the same time that the professionals do. While this magazine is great to keep informed of all that is going on in the beauty industry, it is not ideal for choosing your next hair cut. Filled with industry jargon and how-to articles, most of the information contained in this hair style magazine would not be fully appreciated by a non-professional.
  • Celebrity Hairstyles. If you’re looking for all of the hot styles worn in Hollywood, Celebrity Hairstyles could be just the hair style magazine to bring it all together for you. Ever wonder how Hilary Duff and Faith Hill got those softly tousled locks? Wonder no more. Not only is this hair style magazine full of color photos of the latest celebrity styles, it also has technical how-to information that you can take along with you to the salon.
  • Hype Hair. When it comes to finding a leading black hair magazine, there is none better than Hype Hair. Called the “the style handbook for today’s black woman,” Hype Hair features up-to-date innovative hairstyles, interviews, contests and funky fresh hair styles. From the sleek and sedate to the funky and corn rowed, there is a style for everyone in this black hair magazine.
  • Modern Salon. This hair style magazine is similar to American Salon in that it caters to professionals only. Featuring the latest trends and interviews with top professionals, Modern Salon takes a fresh and modern look at the beauty industry in its entirety including nails, make-up, hair, color, skin care.
  • Short Hair Styles. This is perhaps the hair style magazine and black hair magazine that I have seen brought into the salon most often by clients. The pages of Short Hair Styles are filled with color photos of the latest color and cutting styles. In here, you can find a cut for any texture of hair and ethnicity. From the textured spike to the soft curled, there is really a short style for everyone in this magazine.

In addition to these hair style magazines, there are several women’s magazines that offer great hair care advice. Vogue, Glamour and First are just a sampling of the many magazines that feature in-depth hair care articles and advice from top hair care professionals. For many, these magazines are the best way to keep up with current trends and style ideas.

These are just a few of the many hair style magazines and black hair magazines available, but they are top of the line. Whether you’re a professional or someone just looking for a cool new style, you cannot go wrong with hair style magazines. And finally, the best news is that you can get most of them at heavily discounted prices. For further details check my website at http://www.great-hairstyles.com/magazine.html.

Laser Hair Removal: Your Choice?

If you have heard all the facts about laser hair removal, you already know your answer to that question. But, although it is heavily advertised, most people actually do not know all that much about laser hair removal. But, this is okay because you can find quite a bit of the information you need to make a decision on it right here on the web. Laser hair removal works by targeting the dark material on the skin. There are many more facts that you need to know though, before you can make a decision.

How It Works

How does it work? Laser hair removal works through a light wavelength that targets these dark colored materials on your skin. This is usually the pigment of the hair. It works through a hand held device that targets these areas and removes hair from them. It works the best on those with fair colored skin and dark colored hair. The darker the skin’s pigment the more difficult the procedure of laser hair removal will work on you.

What To Know

Although laser hair removal has been around for a long time, it has only been used commercially for a handful of years. In that time period, many have found great success with this process. But, the hair removal is not always permanent. Hair that does come back can be lighter in color in some people. For others, it does remain gone. Laser hair removal is quite expensive as well.

Problems With Laser Hair Removal

When used properly, there are few problems, medically speaking, that can occur during laser hair removal. Yet, many people complain that it is a painful process. You will not be given any medication, as the pain isn’t horrible, but it is uncomfortable. Also, if done wrong, laser hair removal can cause a number of issues such as burns, skin that is discolored for months at a time, lesions, and patchy hair regrowth.
